Description POSITION DESCRIPTION: Join the Earlywine Park YMCA team as a Youth and Family Department Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing our community programs focused on youth and family development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and well-being of children and families through engaging and impactful programming. ***Starting at $13.00 per hour
Duties and
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing department programs including Child Watch, School Age Care, and Summer Day Camp
- Support daily operations of youth and family programs, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality activities and experiences for children and families
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and community partners to promote program participation and address concerns
- Maintain program records, attendance, and compliance with YMCA policies and safety standards
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising program staff and volunteers

- Must stay current in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid, renewed annually (Training provided by the Y, if needed)
- Must complete all required annual compliance training within 30 days of hire and renewed annually
- Must be 21 years old with experience in working with infants, children, and families
- Must exemplify and support the philosophy of the YMCA
- Scheduling, supervising, and evaluating staff, address parent concerns and communicate effectively both oral and written
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree in recreation, education, or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with children and families in a recreational or educational setting
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of youth programs
