Job Description: Dr. Zanazanian is an interdisciplinary researcher whose work explores historical consciousness and the ways in which people construct, interpret, and use historical knowledge to make sense of the world around them. The project brings together four different practitioner areas, with four co-principal investigators contributing perspectives from different disciplines. We are currently seeking four Research Assistants, with one RA connected to each of the following areas: Gastroenterology / Emergency Room Medicine, Clinical Psychology, Community Development, Performing Arts. He is looking to recruit 4 research assistants (RA) to work on a large-scale interdisciplinary research project. The anticipated responsibilities are subject to change but would broadly be:

• Conducting literature reviews related to your assigned disciplinary area
• Identifying and organizing relevant academic literature
• Reviewing and editing literature reviews
• Helping synthesize research across disciplines
• Participating in research meetings and discussions
• Attending library and research-methods workshops
• Contributing to the development of interdisciplinary research materials Please note that 1 in-person meeting of 2-3 hours is required weekly . Currently the suggested time is Fridays from 3-4pm. This is a particularly interesting opportunity for students who want experience with largescale, interdisciplinary research and who are interested in seeing how knowledge is constructed differently across professional and academic fields. All students are welcome to apply (keep in mind the targeted disciplines ). You do not need to be studying Education or History. We are specifically looking for students whose academic, professional, or research experiences connect them to one of the four practitioner areas: Gastroenterology / Emergency Room Medicine, Clinical Psychology, Community Development, Performing Arts. In your cover letter, please clearly indicate: 1. Which of the four fields you are connected to 2. How you are connected to that field (for example, through your program of study, professional experience, research, clinical experience, community involvement, or another relevant connection) 3. Why you are interested in participating in an interdisciplinary research project 4. Any relevant experience you have with research, literature reviews, academic writing, or working across disciplines Qualifications Required (skills and abilities, language skills):
• Connection to one of the four practitioner areas (Gastroenterology / Emergency Room Medicine, Clinical Psychology, Community Development, Performing Arts). Strong English language skills as the position requires frequent writing tasks.
