Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Planned Maintenance Technician based in Reno, Nevada , supporting our Peru Ridge data center customer site . Looking to build a career in power generation? We provide paid technical training to help you develop the skills needed to maintain and service Aggreko's power generation equipment. Previous generator experience is preferred but not required . If you have hands-on mechanical experience and are comfortable working with tools, we want to hear from you. You’ll work both independently and as part of a team to inspect, service, and maintain equipment supporting natural gas power solutions in a mission-critical data center environment. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities that rely on us for decades. What you’ll do as a Planned Maintenance Technician:
- Perform preventive and planned maintenance on power generation and related equipment.
- Complete oil and filter changes, fluid checks and top-offs, equipment inspections, cleaning, and other scheduled maintenance.
- Inspect equipment for leaks, wear, damage, or other conditions requiring additional attention.
- Assist experienced technicians with equipment troubleshooting and repairs while developing your technical skills.
- Perform maintenance on generators, engines, compressors, and related equipment in the shop and at customer sites.
- Complete work logs, maintenance records, repair documentation, expense reports, and other required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Complete customer-site checks and maintain required badging and site access credentials.
- Follow all established safety procedures and customer-site requirements.
- Communicate professionally and confidently with customers and teammates. You are:
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with basic hand and power tools.
- Experienced with basic preventive maintenance such as oil changes, filters, fluids, belts, hoses, inspections, or similar mechanical work .
- Interested in developing a career in power generation and industrial equipment maintenance .
- Able and willing to learn new mechanical and technical systems through hands-on experience and paid training.
- Comfortable performing physical work, getting your hands dirty, working outdoors, and solving problems.
- Safety-minded, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable interacting with internal and external customers.
- A valid driver's license holder.
- A High School Diploma/GED holder. . Here’s what you’ll get:

- Availability to work the assigned schedule, including 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, overtime, and standby work as required.
- Ability to travel to work and training locations as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods and safely walk over uneven terrain.
- Ability to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion necessary to safely perform work from ground/floor level through full overhead level.
- Good finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and grip strength necessary to safely use tools, ladders, and stair railings.
- Ability to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment. This includes the ability to lift up to 60 lbs., push/pull up to 80 lbs., carry up to 60 lbs., climb stairs and ladders, climb while carrying up to 15 lbs., stoop, kneel, and squat .
