- You will perform analyses and support functions in the preparation of budget estimates and financial plans that advance organizational programs and activities.
- You will review budget submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established regulations and guidance.
- You will ensure that all actions are documented and traceable to support future audits and reviews.
- You will prepare timely, accurate, and audit ready financial reports reflecting the status of organizational resources.
- You will manage tasks related to accounting systems, payroll operations, cash control, and benefit programs. Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: interpreting and applying budgetary, accounting, and financial policies, procedures, and regulations; utilizing financial management systems, automation, and analytical tools to execute and monitor financial activities to improve the efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness of financial operations and reporting. GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with the interpretation and application of budgetary, accounting, and financial policies, procedures, and regulations; supporting the use of financial management systems, automation, and analytical tools to process, track, and monitor financial activities; and assisting with maintaining accurate, compliant, and audit-ready financial records and reports. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-07: I have successfully completed 1 full year of graduate level education OR Superior Academic Achievement GS-09: I have successfully completed a Master's or equivalent graduate degree
