Description : An investigation of basic sculpture methods and concepts with a view toward developing personal aptitudes. Development of three-dimensional thinking through direct experience with processes using new and traditional materials. This course is not Team Taught or offered online.   • April 30, 2027 Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs): Education 1. Master educator with an MA in a relevant field (ie. Art education) and/or relevant professional experience as a visual artist or artist-educator. 2. PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset Experience 1. Demonstrated knowledge of:
  • Sculpture as an art form in which diverse materials are worked into three-dimensional art objects
  • Contemporary sculpture
  • Practical experience with construction, composition and notions of the elements of design
  • Tools and materials needed in the creation of sculptures 2. Previous experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level and/or equivalent relevant teaching or professional experience. 3. Experience as a visual arts teacher in the Quebec educational system 4.Familiarity with the 13 professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation. Other 1. Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion 2. Familiarity using MyCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences 3. Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset 4.
