Position Overview: We are currently recruiting recent graduates from accounting or commerce programs to join our Property Management division as Accounting Associates. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commercial real estate accounting while working closely with our experienced team members. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Associate will be part of a structured career program designed to cultivate the skills and knowledge necessary to advance within the organization. Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day accounting tasks such as approving accounts payable, bank reconciliations, HST filing, expense tracking and tenant billing.
  • Banking for bill payments and special deposit requests.
  • Collaborate with Property Management and Leasing Teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and budgets for various properties within our portfolio.
  • Paper filing and boxing documents.
  • Document and maintain of department Accounting Procedures Career Progression: The Accounting Associate position serves as the first step in our career advancement program. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress to Senior Associate role and ultimately become a Property Accountant; a respected professional in the field of commercial real estate accounting, within three years. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field from an accredited
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in accounting or commercial real estate is not required but considered an asset. Benefits:
