Primary Function Millwrights are responsible for installing, aligning, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment on construction sites, ensuring precision installation in accordance with manufacturer specifications and project drawings. Key Responsibilities

• Install, align, and level industrial equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, tanks) according to blueprints and manufacturer specifications
• Perform precision alignment using laser alignment tools, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Rig and move heavy equipment safely using cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues on installed equipment
• Fabricate and fit metal parts as needed, including cutting, drilling, and welding
• Coordinate with foremen, pipefitters, and other trades to ensure proper sequencing of installation work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards Educational Background High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship program or trade school certification preferred. Work Experience Minimum 2–4 years of Millwright experience in industrial, mechanical, or heavy civil construction preferred. Experience with water or wastewater treatment plant equipment is a plus, but not required. Practical Knowledge
• Precision alignment and rigging techniques
• Reading blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
• Use of hand and power tools, cutting, and welding for fabrication
• Safety protocols for heavy equipment, rigging, and confined space work Computer Skills Applied Not typically required. Basic familiarity with a tablet or mobile device for daily reporting is a plus. Successful Personality Traits Detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, able to work independently and as part of a crew, and physically able to meet the demands of the job. Travel Minimal. Primarily based at the assigned North Dakota job site. May include occasional travel between sites within the region. Direct Reports None. Reports To Mechanical Foreman / Superintendent. Compensation and Benefits Compensation range: $30- $40, commensurate with experience Per diem: $100/day Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and paid holidays.
