OVERVIEW: As an Account Manager, you are a client partner and project manager responsible for keeping digital, social, and content work organized, aligned, and moving forward from brief through delivery. You translate client and strategic direction into clear project plans, manage interconnected workstreams and deliverables, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure work is delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard. You work in close partnership with Account Leadership, taking ownership of assigned projects and workstreams within the broader direction of the client business. You bring strong organization, proactive communication, and attention to detail—anticipating needs, identifying risks early, and creating the structure teams need to deliver high-quality digital and social work.

Essential Duties and

RESPONSIBILITIES: Digital, Social & Project Management

  • Manage assigned digital, social, and content projects and workstreams from brief through delivery, ensuring deliverables, timelines, responsibilities, and budgets remain aligned.
  • Translate briefs and strategic direction into detailed project plans, timelines, asset matrices, and clear next steps.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Social, Strategy, Creative, Design, Content Production, Talent, Media, and other disciplines to keep work moving efficiently.
  • Manage content calendars and deliverable trackers across platforms, maintaining visibility into asset requirements, status, deadlines, and dependencies.
  • Drive creative development workflows including briefing, internal reviews, client feedback, revisions, approvals, production, and final delivery.
  • Track dependencies across organic social, paid media, talent, partnerships, production, and platform requirements, flagging potential issues early.
  • Manage shifting priorities and real-time needs with appropriate urgency while maintaining clarity around broader timelines, scope, and deliverables.
  • Proactively identify project risks, recommend solutions, and exercise sound judgment around when decisions require alignment or escalation to Account Leadership. Client Partnership & Communication
  • Manage day-to-day client communication across assigned projects, working within the broader relationship and strategic direction established by Account Leadership.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the client's business, audience, brand, digital ecosystem, and broader marketing objectives.
  • Translate client feedback into clear, actionable direction for internal teams.
  • Lead project status updates and planning conversations, ensuring clients have visibility into progress, upcoming decisions, and key milestones.
  • Maintain close alignment with Account Leadership on client priorities, emerging needs, risks, and opportunities, ensuring project decisions support the broader client relationship.
  • Contribute ideas and observations that strengthen digital and social recommendations and connect execution to broader client objectives.
  • Anticipate client needs and identify opportunities to improve the work or overall client experience. Content, Partner & Platform Coordination
  • Build working knowledge of major social and digital platforms, emerging formats, creator ecosystems, and changing consumer behaviors.
  • Partner with Social, Creative, and Strategy teams to ensure content plans reflect platform requirements and opportunities.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal specialists and external partners to support efficient delivery. Financial & Operational Management
  • Develop project scopes, staffing approaches, budgets, timelines, and workplans in partnership with Account and Operational Leadership, with increasing ownership of the underlying recommendations.
  • Track project financials including agency time, production costs, burn, and reconciliation, maintaining accurate and timely visibility.
  • Monitor work against approved scope and flag changes in deliverable volume, timing, resource needs, or client requests that may have financial implications.
  • Proactively identify potential scope or budget pressures and work with Account and Operational Leadership to determine appropriate solutions.
  • Partner with Production, Social, Creative, and other executional teams to ensure timelines and plans reflect resource and production requirements.
  • Maintain clear review and approval processes to keep work moving efficiently and reduce unnecessary rounds or delays.
  • Consistently maintain agency project management tools, trackers, and documentation. Measurement & Optimization
  • Support Strategy, Social, Analytics, and Account Leadership in connecting programs to defined objectives and measures of success.
  • Support campaign reporting, recaps, and optimization discussions by organizing performance information, key learnings, and next steps.
  • Help translate program learnings into actionable recommendations for future content and execution. Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead day-to-day cross-functional coordination across assigned projects, creating accountability across disciplines while maintaining alignment with Account Leadership on broader priorities.
  • Reinforce strong project management practices across timelines, deliverables, approvals, and documentation.
  • Foster collaborative ways of working across Account, Social, Strategy, Creative, Production, Media, Analytics, and other teams.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to independently manage defined digital, social, and content projects or workstreams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines, deliverables, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Working understanding of digital and social workflows, including creative development, content production, approvals, publishing, and measurement.
  • Ability to translate briefs and direction into clear plans, actions, responsibilities, and decision points.
  • Confident written and verbal communicator, comfortable managing day-to-day client and internal team interactions.
  • Proactive problem-solver who identifies risks early, recommends solutions, and demonstrates sound judgment around when to escalate.
  • Developing financial literacy across scopes, staffing, budgets, agency time, production costs, and reconciliation.
