You will be based in Roeselare, Belgium and report to the Technical Engineering Manager. Your role in the blend As Maintenance Manager, you will lead the safe, efficient and compliant execution of maintenance activities at our Roeselare site. You will empower the maintenance teams to deliver strong results, while ensuring that day-to-day activities are aligned with our business objectives, safety standards and continuous improvement ambitions. You will play a key role in translating maintenance plans into effective execution. Together with the team leaders and other stakeholders across the organization, you will ensure smooth operations, strong communication and reliable technical performance. In this role, you will:
- Lead and develop the maintenance execution team, creating an environment in which people can perform at their best.
- Set clear objectives for the maintenance team and translate broader company priorities into concrete maintenance targets.
- Take ownership of the execution of preventive maintenance activities together with the team leaders.
- Validate maintenance planning and steer its daily execution.
- Ensure appropriate short-term actions are taken when urgent technical issues arise.
- Monitor the quality, safety and compliance of maintenance work in close cooperation with the team leaders.
- Follow up on work carried out by external contractors and review their service performance.
- Monitor progress against the maintenance plan and ensure clear communication on execution.
- Organize debriefings after major technical issues and ensure appropriate follow-up actions.
- Evaluate and further develop the maintenance execution team together with the team leaders.
- Safeguard an effective flow of information between maintenance execution and other relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to compliance with relevant audit requirements, including FSSC, ISO 14001 and BRC, as well as quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Follow technical performance indicators such as technical availability, waste, safety compliance, budget versus plan, wrench time and MTTR.
- Act as a role model for Paulig’s guiding principles and foster a learning and continuous improvement mindset. Your key ingredients You would be a great fit if your background and experience would look similar to this:
- You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field.
- You preferably have at least 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is important, while experience in the food industry is considered an advantage.
- You have strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- You are familiar with MS Office and maintenance management/CMMS software.
- You combine strong technical expertise with leadership skills and a people-oriented approach.
- You know how to motivate a team, set clear expectations and drive results.
- You are an effective communicator who can collaborate smoothly with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- You have a clear service-oriented mindset.
