Duties

• Directs, tracks, and manages IT program plans, milestones, and project execution schedules to ensure mission alignment and stablishes and maintains the program management information reporting system to track funds, manpower, and IT project status.
• Develops and coordinates program acquisition documentation (e.g., acquisition strategies, performance work statements) and monitors contractor execution as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
• Conducts meticulous reviews of project milestones, acquisition decision memorandum, and read-ahead materials to ensure compliance with Department of War (DoW)/DISA standards.
• Oversees strategic programming, budget preparation, and financial tracking for IT projects, ensuring fiscally responsible use of funds.
• Prepares detailed reports and briefs top-level management on project progress, performance trends, and milestone decision reviews. Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as managing IT projects, tracking milestones, and drafting program acquisition documentation (such as Acquisition Strategies or Project Execution Plans) to support Contracting Officer Representative (COR) duties OR overseeing IT project budgets, performing financial tracking, and preparing detailed status briefings on funds and schedule alignment for senior leadership. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
