Business Development Manager Status: Regular, Full time Location: Mississauga, Ontario Job Description We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who enjoys a fast-paced environment with a desire to improve themselves and advance within the company. The incumbent will be a team player who demonstrates initiative and a positive professional attitude and manner. Tasks/ Responsibilities:
- Prospects for potential new clients and turns this into increased business.
- Identifies potential clients and the decision makers within their organization and sets up meetings to build new relationships.
- Cold calls as appropriate within our market and geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Works with the team to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns and objectives.
- Using your knowledge of the market and competitors, identifies and develops our company’s unique selling proposition and differentiators.
- Develops growth plans and strategies with current clients and presents new products and services to enhance existing relationships. Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Post-Secondary education
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Previous Sales/Inside Sales experience is highly beneficial, particularly in Wire & Cable or Electrical industries.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop long-term client relationship
- A highly professional approach to business
- Exceptional organization skills, ability to multitask and a keen eye for detail
- Technically proficient to quickly learn and understand products
- Ability to develop quotations & project bid packaging / pricing / presentations
- Knowledge of electrical industry would be an asset
